Wednesdays 7:35 a.m.
Hosted by Diane Mack
New Orleans is billed as "America's Most Interesting City," known around the world for its music, cultural quirks, and first class cuisine.
Our gumbos, red beans and rice, fried seafood platters, and desserts attract visitors from around the world. We take great pride in serving and preserving our culinary delights for others, but in a city where fat rules and foods are deep fried, are we compromising our well-being: after all, we eat here too!
Is there anything healthy about our traditional New Orleans diet?
Is there anything we could do to achieve a healthier state without sacrificing our lifestyle or our taste buds?
Listen as Diane Mack talks with local health professionals and reports on how you can eat happy and live healthy. It's A Healthy New Orleans, every Wednesday Morning at 7:35 during NPR's "Morning Edition."
