WE FOUND THAT YOU ARE ON THE JOB THIS EVENING AND ARE SO DELIGHTED. WELCOME
BACK.

Guys, It is soooo good to hear your voices again. When We arrived back in the
area, can't say home, it had 4 inches of water. There was no WWNO! Thank you for
working so hard to get back on the air. We appreciate you all so much!
Thanks, Barbara J.
Hi, I'm a resident of Oklahoma, and this morning a friend who lives near
Ponchatoula called me via cell phone to ask that I contact you and thank you for
being back on the air. Her cable has not been restored, so she can't e-mail you
herself, but she wants you to know you're coming in wonderfully loud and clear.
She's sure that many other listeners in the area are in the same boat in not
being able to e-mail to express their appreciation. She would love to know when
cable in the area will be restored. If your station has the resources to find
out and report the recovery of such services, it would be greatly appreciated.
She also requests that you play all the sassy New Orleans jazz you can. Again,
her thanks, and mine as well for helping a friend make it through a tough time.
Sincerely,
Jerry S. - Konawa, Oklahoma
Working on my flooded house. Sure am glad my favorite station is back. Keep
up the great work. Thanks.

I have enjoyed the new mixture and All music programming that has been playing since you folks have been in Atlanta. Will this continue once you return to NOLA? It is simply GRRREAT! It has been wonderful to be able to listen to WWNO since our release from duties . . . for a rather extended period of time in unexpected circumstances.
Thank you for making our evenings enjoyable.
Sincerely
GW
Have truly enjoyed the music selections following "Morning Edition". The mix of jazz and 'spirited' classical music makes the morning hours more enjoyable. I don't know if it is the music available at the station in Atlanta or the DJ's choice, but whatever it is keep it up.
Have you thought of changing programing in the morning to include some jazz?
I need to renew and tried online, but it is not available.

Dear WWNO staff, I just want to thank you for being on the air. I have always been a WWOZ and WWNO listener, and now more than ever, I really appreciate NPR news and wonderful music. It really helps me stay in a positive frame of mind, especially now! I'm not complaining, though; I live in Algiers and experienced only minimal damage from the hurricane, and my family is all ok.
Thanks again for making my days brighter!
Best wishes,
Desha
Thanks so much for all you guys do and have been doing - and all you Be. Y'all are doin' a great job!! It was a great pleasure to hear the familiar voices when you came back on the air. Thank you, GPB!

WWNO staff:
Thanks a bunch for keeping our station alive and broadcasting. You are always an enjoyable earful. . .
. . . I grew up in Georgia. It's no lie, the peaches are excellent, far better than the fibrous, tasteless mutant fruit shipped so widely from California, Texas, Arizona, etc. Get your fill if you can! The peanuts are good, too.
Cheers,

Thank you for coming back on the air. We like your new format re: New Orleans community news. In Slidell, we can't receive the Baton Rouge public radio station, so we are unaware of LA news. I am a contributor to MS public radio because they provide more news programming and less classical music. I know more about MS news than southeast LA news. Keep it up . . .
Sincerely,

I am really grateful that WWNO is up and running-even from Atlanta. And I
really don't mean this to sound like a complaint but I have been going thru
withdrawal for the sound of . . .'Fresh Air'. But most of all I miss the sound
of Diane Mack's dulcet tones waking me in the mornings . . . Keep up the good
work and hopefully someday soon you all can be back here in NOLA and things will
be back to pre-Katrina-as much as that will ever be possible.
Sincerely,
Marie D
My alarm went off at 5:30 this mornig . . . and what did I hear but a melody I hadn't heard in five years, since I moved home to New Orleans: the theme music for NPR's Performance Today! It was my favorite program when I listened [in] Atlanta. . . . I am guessing you were broadcasting [the] program courtesy of Georgia Public Broadcasting and I shouldn't expect to hear it on a regular basis, especially in light of current financial circumstances. But I just wanted to say thank you. . . . I am so glad WWNO is back on the air and I look forward to the day "y'all" (as they say in Georgia) can come home again.

Hey, it is great to hear you guys again. I can't tell you what a hole in my soul was there since you went off the air. Even though I listen to some CD's in the car, I can't tell you how much I missed the classical music and how wonderful it was to hear your voice. Good luck, and I look forward to having you back in New Orleans.

Dear WWNO:
Hello from storm ravaged south Louisiana. I was like getting a warm letter from
home to begin hearing your broadcast again, thanks for setting up in Atlanta for
now.
I listened to your broadcast on this Sunday night 10/23/05 at about 6:30pm to
the most delightful music. . . . Can you help me with a better number or
recommend where to get a copy of the compact disc?
Keep bringing us home!
Best regards,
Hugh C.
