Jameeta Youngblood

Jameeta is a proud, native New Orleanian with an affinity for service to her community.  Ms. Youngblood earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Nicholls State University.

Ms. Youngblood is the Business Manager at 89.9FM WWNO radio station (NPR’s New Orleans affiliate). In this position she has helped to enhance WWNO’s financial strength by supporting the corporate underwriting program, which accounts for one third of WWNO’s income.

Ms. Youngblood currently serves as President for the Urban League of Greater New Orleans Young Professionals, Advocacy Committee Member for the National Urban League Young Professionals, Board Member for the Urban League of Louisiana, and Board Secretary for Girl Scouts Louisiana East. She was a part of the Urban League of Louisiana’s Urban Leaders for Equity and Diversity (ULEAD) inaugural cohort. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Women’s Shelter; as Vice President, Parliamentarian and Communication’s Secretary for the Urban League of Greater New Orleans Young Professionals; as Co-Event Chair for Relay for Life of New Orleans; and as Director of Membership for EngageNOLA.
