Marigny Opera Ballet, Follies of 1915

This week on Inside the Arts, the Marigny Opera Ballet opens its 5th season with the premiere of Follies of 1915. The full-length comedy of errors is set to period music by the New Leviathan Oriental Foxtrot Orchestra. Artistic director Dave Hurlbert joins us.

Then, a heads up for budding artists. If you are a Louisiana high school junior or senior "Blue Dog" artist George Rodrigue's Foundation of the Arts is hoping you'll enter its annual visual arts competition. A winning entry could lead to a college scholarship. We talk with the foundation's executive director Jacques Rodrigue.

And, just in time for Halloween, a thrilling, dark comedy continues the season for the NOLA Project as it presents Martin McDonagh's grisly tales in The Pillowman. Director Mark Routhier joins actors James Bartelle and Michael Joel Bartelle in our studio.

Airs Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., and Thursdays at 8:35 a.m.
