Two shelters open in St. Tammany Parish
Two shelters have opened in St. Tammany Parish as Hurricane Isaac approaches.
Officials of the St. Tammany Parish School Board and the Red Cross said the shelters are at William Pitcher Junior High School, 415 S. Jefferson Ave. in Covington and at Creekside Junior High School, 65434 Louisiana Highway 41, Pearl River.
People going to the shelters are asked to bring food, medicine, bedding and activities for children.
