Ron Curtis

Mr. Curtis' broadcasting career began when he responded to a newspaper ad that said: "Do you want to be a D.J.; call this number." That was in 1969, and since then he has worked as an announcer, reporter, and news director in commercial radio in New Orleans and the Pacific Northwest. After returning to his hometown in 1982, he answered another ad in the newspaper and landed an announcing shift at WWNO, where he has also been a program producer, and since 1990, Operations Director.

Mr. Curtis' interest include music and being outdoors hiking and backpacking, and an abiding interest in nurturing and saving the natural world for the people who will come after us.
