Shantel E. Washington

A native of New Orleans, Shantel began pursuing a degree in marketing at the University of New Orleans in 1998. During her first semester, she began working as a student assistant at WWNO and was promoted to development and membership assistant a few years later. After several semesters of being observed as a dean’s list achiever, she earned her bachelor of science degree in 2002 and advanced to the position of Manager, Listener Services at the radio station. Shantel enjoys marketing the station via monthly e-newsletters, special e-blasts and management of the website (wwno.org) as part of her responsibilities.
