Today on The Sound of Books with Fred Kasten, part three of our three-part series featuring writers who are appearing at this year's Tennessee Williams Festival. Today we're spotlighting DeLisle, Mississippi writer Jesmyn Ward, author of the 2011 National Book Award winning novel Salvage the Bones.

This week on The Reading Life: Novelist and playwright John Biguenet, whose new work “Broomstick,” will have a staged reading at the Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival. We'll also talk with New Orleans writing  marathon director Dr. Richard Louth, who'll be leading a group of writers around the French Quarter during the Festival weekend.
