Jury Sides with Costner in BP Spill Lawsuit

Kevin Costner says his reputation was at stake as he defended himself against accusations that he cheated fellow actor Stephen Baldwin out of millions of dollars in a lucrative BP contract for oil-cleaning machines after the 2010 spill.

Baldwin and a friend were seeking $17 million in damages, saying they could have made at least that much in the deal. A federal jury sided with Costner and gave them nothing.

Petitions Delivered To Federal Court For Keeping Corexit Maker in BP Lawsuit

A federal judge in New Orleans will accept materials through a deadline next week on whether Nalco, the maker of chemical dispersants used in the BP oil spill, can remain in litigation. Hundreds of signatures have been submitted to keep the chemical maker included.

Textron Gets 4th Vehicle Order from Afghan Army

Textron Marine & Land Systems has gotten an order for 71 mobile strike force vehicles for the Afghanistan National Army. The company says the order has a cost cap of about $79 milllion and brings the total for Afghanistan to nearly 500 vehicles.

Judge: Katrina Case's Leaks are "Serious Business"

A federal judge says he is determined to identify the source of leaked information about the Justice Department's probe of a deadly New Orleans bridge shooting following Hurricane Katrina. Attorneys for five former officers convicted of charges arising from the shootings claim media leaks blocked a fair trial.
