New Orleans Celebrates Its French Heritage

Fireworks in Paris to celebrate Bastille Day. There will be a fireworks display on the Mississippi River on July 13th at 9pm.

The Dog Days of Summer

"W.O.O.F." is hand painted with iridescence paints that will appear to change color as the angle of view or the angle changes.
Words are written on the sculpture and people are rewarded to approach the dog, because the closer one gets, the more evident the words become.

Over the past several months New Orleanians have surely noticed the Bead Dog sculptures placed around town by the LA SPCA. Paws on Parade has worked with the artistic community of New Orleans to help raise awareness for animal welfare and the response has been enthusiastic. To honor of the 60th Bead Dog sculpture, Sharon Litwin spoke with the artist responsible for the anthropomorphic pup.
