Hornets Select UK's Miller with 46th Overall Pick

The New Orleans Hornets have selected Kentucky's Darius Miller with the 46th overall pick in Thursday night's NBA draft. Miller, a 6-foot-8 forward who played four seasons at Kentucky, will join college teammate Anthony Davis, whom New Orleans selected first overall.

Hornets take Duke's Austin Rivers at No. 10

The New Orleans Hornets have taken Austin Rivers with the 10th overall pick in Thursday night's NBA draft. Rivers, the son of Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers, averaged a team-high 15.5 points per game as a freshman at Duke.

Brees' Franchise Tag Arbitration Hearing Held

PHILADELPHIA — NFL Players Association attorney Jeffrey Kessler says an arbitrator expects to rule within a week on arguments presented concerning the Saints' use of the NFL's franchise tag on quarterback Drew Brees.

Arbitrator Stephen Burbank is handling the matter of how to interpret language in the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, which requires any club that designates a player as a franchise player for the third time to give him a 44 percent raise.
