Longshoremen unloading cargo from ships.

This story was told at Fortier Park on September 19, 2013. The theme of the evening was "Thrown", and Jim Asher told of an almost brutal physical altercation while covering the longshoremen unions in Philadelphia during the 1980ss.

Bring Your Ownis brought to you by Liam Daniel Pierce, Laine Kaplan-Levenson and Nina Feldman. Save the date for the first ever BYO Fundraiser, to be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Aquarium Gallery. For details go to bringyourownstories.com.
