La. Election Day is Saturday, Nov. 21. Click here for info on polling places and more

The Louisiana gubernatorial runoff will be held this Saturday, Nov. 20, with polls opening at 7 a.m. and closing at 8 p.m.

In addition to the tight race for governor, candidates are vying for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and scores of local propositions and other races statewide, according to Secretary of State Tom Schedler’s office.

Citizens wishing to vote must bring a recognized photo identification with them to the polls, such as a La. driver's license, a state Special I.D. card, or a passport. Voters without I.D. will still be allowed to vote, but must fill out an affidavit.

Each voter is allowed 3 minutes to cast a ballot, and voters in line when the polls close at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

The Election Protection organization has materials to assist voters on Saturday. Additionally, a hotline has been established for people requiring assistance or experiencing problems casting their ballots: 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683).
