In the digital era, musicians seeking to promote their music are in a shifting landscape that can seem daunting. How do you safely approach various outlets - like film and TV - and maintain your product?

The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation are collaborating on a workshop to help local musicians safely navigate areas like licensing and copyright issues. Karl Lengel spoke with Morgan Stewart of NOLABA about the workshop.

The Sync Up Workshop takes place at the Jazz and Heritage Center at 1225 N. Rampart St., Wednesday, January 23 at 5:30pm.

Karl Lengel worked at New Orleans Public Radio for more than two decades before leaving the station in 2023.
