The 23rd French Film Festival begins on February 27, and for the next two weeks, NolaVie will be spotlighting a couple of the festival’s featured filmmakers. Marshall Woodworth’s documentary La Veille traces the loss of Louisiana French, as well as the widespread efforts to preserve it. Brian Friedman sat down with Marshall for a quick preview.

This week on Inside the Arts, the Prytania Theatre is ground zero for the 22nd New Orleans French Film Festival. We get a sneak peek at French language films from around the globe with Fallon Young, executive director of the New Orleans Film Society.

Then, we take a long and winding road to a Julia Street art gallery.  Boyd|Satellite is closing its doors with a final exhibit, Number Nine Dream, paying  homage to former Beatle, John Lennon.  Co-owners Ginette Bone and Blake Boyd will join us.
