IBM’s lauded supercomputer, Watson, was supposed to revolutionize cancer care by providing treatment and diagnostic advice. However, STAT recently reported IBM internal documents reveal Watson often provided erroneous advice and “multiple examples of unsafe and incorrect treatment recommendations.”
