Support New Orleans Public Radio

You rely on WWNO.  We rely on you.

We could not broadcast trusted news, great music and smart entertainment without without support from listeners like you. Individual contributions are our number one source of support, followed closely by local business underwriters.

Support WWNO now.

WWNO doesn't air conventional advertising. We don't receive funds from NPR, the State of Louisiana, or direct financial support from the University of New Orleans — and just a modest amount from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Ways to Support WWNO

At any time of year, contributions from individual listeners and businesses are crucial to the vitality of WWNO, KTLN, NPR and all of public radio; click on the topics below for more information.

Click here to give now – As a monthly sustainer, annually, or just once.  Individual listeners are WWNO’s largest single source of revenue–nearly 40 percent of our annual budget.

Donate Your Vehicle – Donate your used car, truck, motor home or boat to New Orleans Public Radio through the WWNO Vehicle Donation Program. Your donation is eligible for a tax deduction, and we receive the net proceeds from the sale. Click here for more information or to begin the donation. Questions?  Call 855-280-9966 to begin the donation process by phone.

Underwriting and Program Sponsorships – Public radio’s approach to “advertising”–the second-biggest share of our revenue. Questions?  underwriting@wwno.org

IRA Charitable Distributions – Listeners age 70 ½ or older can make a tax-advantaged charitable gift directly from an IRA each year.

Donate Stock - A gift of appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a private company, may provide greater tax advantages than gifts of cash.

Donor Advised Funds - A growing number of listeners find this a convenient, cost-effective way to support WWNO and other good causes.

Volunteer – Support WWNO with your time, energy and talent.

Corporate Matching Gifts – Many companies have programs that will match your investment in organizations like WWNO. Some companies will even double your investment! Contact your human resources department to learn if your company will help you support public radio.

Honor or Memorialize a Friend or Family Member - You can donate a tax-deductible gift to WWNO in memory of, or in honor of, a loved one, friend or colleague.

Support Through Your Will- A bequest is a gift that recipients receive after your death, and is one the simplest ways to make a substantial, lasting gift to support WWNO in the future.

Name WWNO as a Beneficiary - If you have a life insurance policy, you can name WWNO as a beneficiary to receive a payment after your death – another way to make a substantial future gift.
