New Orleans, La. – Mandeville City Councilwoman Trilby Lenfant is conceding the mayoral election she lost to school board member Donald Villere by just three votes. Lenfant told reporters that while some irregularities were found during the review of ballots cast in last month's race, it'si in the best interest of the city to move on. Still undecided is an ethics complaint she filed over a last-minute flier Villere sent that she claims is false and misleading advertising. Villere replaces disgraced Mayor Eddie Price, who resigned and pleaded guilty to federal corruption and tax evasion charges, He's scheduled to be sentenced later this month. Meantime, Villere will be filling the two years remaining on Price's term.
