Numb thumbs didn't stop the NPR crew from being part of the social media buzz during yesterday's 57th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.
A team of hosts and reporters assembled at the U.S. Capitol to guide listeners through a special live broadcast of the inaugural festivities on air, and many also took to Twitter and Instagram to share first-hand accounts of the pomp and circumstance happening around the National Mall.
Scroll through the slideshow below for a special behind-the-scenes (and above-the-stage) look from reporting yesterday's inaugural ceremonies.
