Acoustic engineer Trevor Cox traveled the world to record everything from the sound of the Kelso Dunes in the Mojave Dessert, to the Guinness Book of World Records’ most reverberant place on the planet — the Inchindown oil storage tanks in Scotland.
He joins Here & Now’s Robin Young to listen to some of those sounds and discuss his book “The Sound Book: The Science of the Sonic Wonders of the World.”
