Next week, Singapore will host an international conference on water, which is fitting — the island country struggles to find enough fresh water to serve its population.

The conference will look at how cities around the world are managing their water, and water experts from around the world will attend, including Patricia Mulroy, who will be sharing the lessons she learned working in water management in the dry state of Nevada.

Here & Now’s Robin Young talks with Mulroy about those lessons.

Guest

  • Patricia Mulroy, senior fellow for climate adaptation and environmental policy at the Brookings Institution. She was the head of the Southern Nevada Water Authority.
