Ninety-five people are now confirmed to have come down with the measles, part of a growing outbreak that originated at Disneyland. Most of the cases are in California, but there are a few scattered cases in other states, too: Arizona, Utah, Washington state, Oregon, Colorado, Nebraska and Michigan, as well as in Mexico.
One Southern California high school has told nearly 70 students to stay home because they are not fully vaccinated. And health officials in Arizona are monitoring a thousand people they believe could have been exposed to measles. They’re asking those who haven’t been vaccinated to stay home for 21 days, the full incubation period for the disease.
