RCA Records Cuts Ties With R. Kelly Amid Sexual Abuse Allegations

“Surviving R. Kelly,” a new Lifetime TV docuseries about allegations of sexual abuse against singer R. Kelly, has sparked widespread response from his fans and the music industry.

Here & Now‘s Robin Young talks with Oronike Odeleye (@SuiteLadyOro), co-founder of #MuteRKelly, a campaign to boycott R. Kelly’s performances and music following the allegations. Also, we hear from Variety senior music editor Jem Aswad (@jemaswad), about R. Kelly’s record label deal with Sony’s RCA that has ended.
