Kansas Governor Laura Kelly won a court battle this weekend over the Republican-led Kansas legislature. GOP lawmakers voted to override the Democratic governor’s executive order limiting the size of religious gatherings that aimed to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In response, Governor Kelly sued the legislature. The state Supreme Court ruled in Kelly’s favor on Saturday, right before Easter.
Gov. Kelly joins us to talk about leading a divided government in a time of national emergency. How is Kansas dealing with the pandemic?
