Search Continues Around Burned Offshore Platform

A Texas oil company is still searching for a missing worker near a burned platform off the Louisiana coast. The company is using dive teams and a search-and-rescue dog.

Black Elk Energy of Houston has three commercial dive boats at the platform that caught fire Friday morning, injuring 11 workers. The body of one of the two missing men was recovered over the weekend near the platform, and four remain in a Baton Rouge hospital burn unit.

The Coast Guard conducted an air and sea search of 1400 square miles surrounding the platform, but called off the search over the weekend.

The company is asking helicopter firms that work in the area to help in the search, and local officials are checking beaches.
