Plant Swap at Starr Homeplace Community Day

Area gardeners and gardening enthusiasts can trade a plant or two this weekend in a plant swap.  It a featured activity in Starr Homeplace's Community Day on Saturday.

Homeplace owner and operator Joe Rolphe says "the Northeast Louisiana Master Gardeners and other groups will bring a number of plants and annuals as part of the event."  The swap is one of a host of activities taking place on the grounds in Oak Ridge.

"We'll have a blacksmith's shop going, leather and woodworking, and several other craftsmen sharing with their work," said Rolphe.

There is an admission fee for adults, children are free.  A lunch is available with an additional donation.

After working in Baton Rouge radio for six years, Bob returned to Monroe in 1996.
