Iconic cult filmmaker John Waters is strongly identified with his hometown of Baltimore, but for a brief period in the early 1970s, he called New Orleans home. While in town for an exhibition of his work at the Arthur Roger Gallery, Waters spoke with the Historic New Orleans Collection for their series, NOLA Life Stories. Here, Waters reflects on his time in the Crescent City and the influence Tennessee Williams had on him in his youth.
