Inside The Arts: Marigny Opera Ballet Premieres New Works, Rodrigue Art Contest, The Wolves

Marigny Opera Ballet, Program 2

This week on Inside the Arts, the Marigny Opera Ballet continues its season with the premiere of three new works. Program 2 celebrates New Orleans' own Louis Moreau Gottschalk, plus two works, Querelle and Pierrot Lunaire, based on 20th century European masterpieces. Artistic director Dave Hurlbert joins us.

Then, the deadline nears for high school students interested in entering "Blue Dog" artist George Rodrigue's Foundation of the Arts visual art contest. We get the details from the foundation's executive director Jacques Rodrigue.

And, Southern Rep Theatre's regional premiere of Sarah DeLappe's debut play, The Wolves opens this week. We talk with artistic director Aimee Hayes.

Airs Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m., Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., and Thursdays at 8:45 a.m.
