When scientist Kevin Arrigo set out to lead a joint Stanford University-NASA expedition into the Chukchi Sea between Russia and Alaska, he believed the ecosystem below the Arctic pack ice was a watery desert. Maypoles, Mosh Pits In Olympics Opening Ceremony
More details have been revealed about the July 27 opening ceremony of the London Olympics. Noted movie director Danny Boyle says the show will open with a pastoral vision that includes horses, chickens, and sheep and somehow involves a mosh pit and a troupe of National Health Service nurses.
