Winters in New Orleans don’t exactly conjure up images of frozen lakes and ear muffs. Yet, there is one exception to this rule and her name is Sarah Zanolli. She's a professional figure skater and New Orleans’ official Ice Ambassador. NolaVie’s Kelley Crawford catches up with Sarah during the final stretch of this year’s ChristmasFest.

Kelley Crawford is a professor of composition at Bard Early College New Orleans, a columnist, writer, and managing editor for NolaVie, as well as a freelance radio host for WWNO. She also spends her professional time as the president of Shotgun Cinema. When she isn't being all professional, you can find her dancing in parades with the dance krewe, Cosmonaughties, traveling while writing young adult books, and volunteering at WRBH, Reading Radio for the Blind and Print Impaired.
