Attorney General William Barr delivers a press conference at the Justice Department ahead of the expected release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. A redacted version of the report is expected to be released on Thursday.

“On Point Live” returns to New Orleans on May 30 for a live-audience recording of the show to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day. Tentative time of the event is 6:00pm. New Orleans Public Radio members have first opportunity to be in the audience at the National World War II Museum when host David Folkenflik will discuss the invasion with Museum curators and historians and listen to stories from the Museum’s archives, recorded by D-Day veterans themselves.

Michael Cohen, President Trump's former lawyer, is testifying on Capitol Hill. Cohen has been sentenced to three years in prison, to begin in May. He pleaded guilty last year to charges of campaign finance violations and other charges related to his work for Trump.

Join WWNO on Thursday October 18, 6:30 p.m. on the University of New Orleans campus for a special live performance by Jim Metzner, creator of  “Pulse of the Planet,” the daily radio feature that explores Planet Earth through sound.  Now on the air for 30 years, “Pulse of the Planet” tracks the rhythms of nature, culture and science worldwide, blending interviews with extraordinary natural sound.  This special one-hour live audience show will take place in the Nims Theater in the UNO Performing Arts Center.  Admission is free; everyone is welcome.

For the first ever live recording of Music Inside Out, Gwen caught up with the prodigious and prolific Chris Thile at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz and Heritage Center. He’s barely 36 years-old, but already boasts a lifetime’s worth of achievements. He started learning mandolin as a kindergartener. Three years later, he co-founded the platinum-selling Nickel Creek with his friends Sara and Sean Watkins. The band would become a groundbreaking force in acoustic music.
