Clear Your Car Of 'Ice Missiles' Or Get Hit With A Fine

Connecticut is one of many states now ticketing people driving with snow on top of their vehicles. Connecticut’s “ice missile” law includes all passenger and commercial vehicles. So far this year, the state has ticketed nearly 300 drivers for the offense, bringing in some $28,000.

“The debris coming off of a vehicle — ice and or snow — is a great hazard to all traffic, and has in fact caused accidents. It caused people to lose control and crash, as well as damage to other people’s personal property,” says Connecticut state police lieutenant J. Paul Vance.
