Yesterday, Stephen Colbert was announced as David Letterman’s replacement as host of the “Late Show” on CBS. Colbert is famous for the faux-conservative character he plays on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report.”
This continues the huge shake-up in late night TV this year. In February, Jay Leno stepped down from “The Tonight Show,” making way for Jimmy Fallon to step in as host of the 60-year-old NBC show. And that moved Seth Meyers, from “Saturday Night Live” into Fallon’s old spot.
