Bye Bye, Birdie, combines elements of romance and comedy as we learn about Albert Peterson's bid to get out of the music business.  His girlfriend, Rosa, helps Albert plan one last public appearance for music heartthrob Conrad Birdie.  The storyline follows Conrad Birdie anticipating his departure for the U.S. Army.

Dee Alexander says he has enjoyed the teamwork and musical variety in preparation for the show. "It's always the teamwork of putting on a show that's fun. And the music in this show is just a wide variety of styles."

Bye Bye, Birdie is presented July 9-12 at the Dixie Center for the Arts in Ruston, Louisiana. Visit the RCT website for more information.
