The Gulf States Newsroom, a collaboration among public radio stations in Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, is teaming up with Back Pocket Media to put on a live-streamed storytelling event on Tuesday.

Local Live(s) is a show that brings together journalists and community members for a night of entertainment and conversation. The team of regional reporters, who cover health care, race, the economy and more, will share the stories behind the stories they’ve reported on — and how the personal and professional intersect.

The event will start at 6:30 p.m. and will also feature live music from local musicians and a reading by Alabama poet laureate Ashley M. Jones.
