RTA Rides Will Be Free On Election Day

New Orleanians can take public transit for free on Election Day, Nov. 3.

The Regional Transit Authority (RTA) waived all fees for the day for bus, streetcar, ferry and paratransit services, the city announced in a press release Monday morning.

Because of coronavirus restrictions, all RTA service is running on Sunday schedule daily. Some routes are detoured due to Hurricane Zeta damage.

You can check on your route at RTAforward.org or by calling Rideline at (504) 248-3900.

The free rides are part of a policy waiving fares on all citywide election days, approved in June by the RTA Board of Commissioners.
