Initiative Trains Native American Women As Doulas To Improve Health Care Outcomes

A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that Native American women in Arizona are dying of pregnancy-related causes at a rate of four times higher than white women. A Navajo midwife is working to change those dire statistics.
