A schedule of some of the holiday-related events coming up at the French Market.

December 1

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  St Nicholas Day Fair in Dutch Alley.

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  WWOZ Cookbook Celebration at the French Market. Taste samples, purchase cookbooks and aprons, meet the musicians behind the food and more!

December 2

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  WWOZ Cookbook Celebration at the French Market! Taste samples, purchase cookbooks and aprons, meet the musicians behind the food and more!

December 4 – 21

2 p.m. Tuesday-Fridays  Christmas New Orleans Style Holiday Chef Demonstrations begin at the Farmers Market.

December 7

11-11:45  a.m. Johnette Downing sings children’s songs in the Jazz Park Visitor Center. The monthly series continues with this Louisiana-based, internationally award-winning singer/songwriter and children’s author.

December 8

6:00-8:00 p.m. French Market’s “Sip n Shop”,  featuring a festive atmosphere, holiday retail sales, local artist and author visits, and live music at the French Market District’s Shops on the Colonnade and The Shops at the Upper Pontalba. Held in conjunction with the annual Christmas on Jackson Square, when the shops at the Lower and Upper Pontalba stay open longer, host raffles and tastings, Santa visits, and retail specials.

December 14

Dec 14 5:00-6:00 p.m.  Bon Operatit! on the Balcony Concert at the Upper Pontalba. “These Three Opera Singers of Bon Operatit Are…!” Enjoy holiday songs and carols with this trio of opera singers as they perform from the scenic Upper Pontalba balcony overlooking Jackson Square. 520 St. Peters Street. Limited seating.
