My god, the pool, its full of stars . . .
2001: An Odyssey Into the Deep is an aquatic operatic retelling of the classic 1968 film casting HAL, the nearly sentient artificial intelligence, as an apocalyptic harbinger of human folly. Blending horror, live music, videography, physical storytelling, and water-based performance, 2001 transforms a classic American narrative and explores themes of morality and humanity in the new machine age.
The show features a live soundtrack from the local New Orleans band, The Kissing Disease.
