Tom Ashbrook, host of the WBUR / NPR news call-in program On Point, will no longer host the show nor return to WBUR. Boston University, which operates WBUR, announced this decision today after an independent review concluded that his behavior had created a dysfunctional workplace. A parallel review by the University concluded that Ashbrook’s behavior was not sexual in nature and did not constitute sexual harassment. WBUR has not announced a replacement host; substitutes will continue to host for the time being.
