Young LGBTQ Thespians Get LOUD

LOUD is a New Orleans theater company centered on queer youth. It’s a space where students explore new modes of self-expression, as well as traditional technique. NolaVie’s Kelley Crawford invites co-director Cameron-Mitchell Ware into the studio to learn more about the program.

Kelley Crawford is a professor of composition at Bard Early College New Orleans, a columnist, writer, and managing editor for NolaVie, as well as a freelance radio host for WWNO. She also spends her professional time as the president of Shotgun Cinema. When she isn't being all professional, you can find her dancing in parades with the dance krewe, Cosmonaughties, traveling while writing young adult books, and volunteering at WRBH, Reading Radio for the Blind and Print Impaired.
