Award-winning environmental journalist Mark Schleifstein wrote for the Times-Picayune for four decades before retiring in 2024. Coming of age in Washington D.C. during the Watergate era, he developed an early and enduring passion for the reporter's craft. The Historic New Orleans Collection spoke with Schleifstein about his career informing the public in this edition of NOLA Life Stories.
