The 19th Department - Stories From Honduran New Orleans: Francis Castillo

The Historic New Orleans Collection has been gathering oral histories for their ongoing series, The 19th Department: Stories from Honduran New Orleans. Francis Castillo was born in Le Ceiba, a major port city in Honduras. Just before her 13th birthday, Castillo and her family moved to New Orleans, settling in the Irish Channel. She spoke with historian Mark Cave about those early days.
