thenewmsy.com
The new airport is set to open November 6th.

When does it open?

November 6th. Officials recommend that passengers plan to arrive at least two hours ahead of their scheduled departure to allow enough time to check in, process through security and get to their gate.

All 16 commercial airlines at MSY will operate from the new terminal located at 1 Terminal Drive, Kenner, LA, and the existing facility at 900 Airline Dr. will close to the public.

How do I get there?

When the new MSY terminal opens you will have to take a different route to get to the airport. Travelers will exit Loyola Drive from I-10, cross over Veterans Boulevard and proceed on the new dedicated Airport access roadway.

Directions from I-10:

Exit I-10 at Exit 221: Loyola Drive
Cross over Veterans Boulevard
Proceed on the new dedicated Airport roadway
Once on airport roadways, follow the signs

Where do I park?

Three on-airport parking options are located directly adjacent to the new terminal including a short-term garage, long-term garage, and surface parking. An economy garage with shuttle service is located at the former long-term parking garage.

How do I find my terminal?

Check-in and ticketing are located on Level 3. Security and concourses are located on Level 2. Once you get through security, take a right to Concourse A or B or a left to Concourse C. On your way back, retrieve your bags or catch a ride from Baggage Claim on Level 1.

Where is the car rental place?

The rental car facility is not relocating to the north side of the airport property. Passengers will have to take a shuttle from the new terminal to the rental car facility on the south side of the airport property.

What is there to eat?

The new airport has 40 food, beverage and retail options. Restaurants include Emeril’s Table, MoPho, Angelo Brocato, Café du Monde, Lucky Dogs, Folse Market and Cure.

What new stuff will I find there?

Free Wi-Fi
Chargers at 50 percent of the seats in the gate areas
Water bottle refilling stations post-security
Three nursing rooms
A pet relief area post security
