UNO's Adam Norris: We're Now A Smoke-Free Campus

Adam Norris, the Director of Communications at the University of New Orleans, tells us UNO became a tobacco-free campus on Aug. 1.

The state legislature mandated all public colleges and universities become smoke-free on that date, but UNO took it a step further and banned all types of tobacco. Norris says there are smoking-cessation resources in place for faculty, staff and students.

Norris also says UNO has once again been selected by the Princeton Review as one of the top 379 colleges and universities in the nation for undergraduate education. He says the review picks approximately 15 percent of all colleges and universities each year.

UNO is also expecting to once again be on U.S. News & World Report's annual "Least Debt" list in the coming weeks. An undergraduate year at UNO costs approximately $6,000.
