Thousands of demonstrators from New York to Alaska protested against President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. Protesters criticized the administration’s actions on government downsizing, the economy, human rights and other issues.

The cuts target mental health and substance use programs, including crisis services, according to Louisiana health officials.

“I want our Democratic leaders of Congress to be able to question Elon Musk,” said Conner Welch.

Protests were held at state capitols across the country.
