New Orleans’ adopted resident Brad Pitt is in town, hosting a star-studded gala this weekend to benefit the Make it Right housing development taking shape in the Lower Ninth Ward. He took a few minutes this afternoon to speak with WWNO reporter Eileen Fleming in one Make it Right house almost ready for occupancy.
“The gala is to let people check in on where we are. We haven’t done a local event, and we felt it was important to engage Louisianians and people from the city to be a part of what we’ve been doing.”
