Airlines at Louis Armstrong airport cancel Thursday flights

Airlines servicing Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport have canceled all commercial flights for Thursday because of Tropical Storm Isaac.

Airport spokeswoman Michelle Wilcut says the storm knocked out electricity to the airport. Wilcut says the airport is currently operating on limited backup generator power.

She says the facility is in discussions with the airlines to determine when flights will resume.
