The co-founders of Cash Money Records are donating $225,000 to help cover the rent payments for hundreds of public housing residents.

Mayor Latoya Cantrell announced the donation today, and the money will support June rental payments for tenants at Harmony Oaks, Marrero Commons and Guste.

Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams said the donation reflected that “the legacy of Cash Money belongs to the city of New Orleans,” adding that they’ve been devastated by how hard the pandemic has the city.
