Culture Collision 6 — the unique happy-hour hosted by WWNO — kicked off the 2014-15 cultural season with a brand-new venue: The National WWII Museum’s US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center on Wednesday, August 27.
This installment of the annual event brought together more than 60 of New Orleans’ nonprofit visual and performing arts organizations for a one-night-only event designed to encourage participation in the New Orleans art scene. Attendees scoped out upcoming performances, took advantage of exclusive ticket promotions and met like-minded arts lovers.
"There are eight of us who plan and prepare Culture Collision, and I think I can speak for all of us when I say that Culture Collision 6 was our best yet!" said WWNO Membership Manager and Culture Collision Producer Janet Wilson. "There were 61 participating organizations with over 1,000 people in attendance. Special thanks to everyone at The National WWII Museum, New Orleans.Me and The Canary Collective."

The article above has been revised to reflect the following correction:
The name of the museum in which Culture Collision was held was written in many different ways in the original version of this story. It is The National WWII Museum.
